Progress on your device
The app saves puzzle moves, completions, settings and cosmetic progression locally. Individual cell moves and puzzle solutions are not included in analytics. There is no Nonogram Journal account or advertising identifier.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync in a configured build, saved progress is also stored in your private iCloud database and merged across your devices. Apple operates iCloud. Turning sync off stops future synchronization; it does not by itself erase existing cloud data.
Purchases
Apple handles payment. RevenueCat verifies transactions and collection ownership using purchase information and an app user identifier. We do not receive your card details. Purchase restoration uses your store account; it is independent of progress sync.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the app reports each sticker you earn to Apple as a Game Center achievement. It sends only the achievement and reads only whether you are signed in, not your player name or friends. Apple operates Game Center; signed out, nothing is reported.
Optional app analytics
When an analytics service is configured, sharing is on unless you turn it off in Settings. The app sends play and reliability events to PostHog with a random installation identifier, app version, build channel, puzzle and collection identifiers, whole-board progress percentages, aggregate Reveal and observed-error counts, and active play time. These help us find difficult or defective puzzles and diagnose failures.
While sharing is on, every new install asks Apple's ad attribution service whether an Apple Ads advertisement led to it, whether or not you saw an ad. The app sends Apple a token that iOS provides, on each launch, at most three times per launch, until Apple answers or a week has passed. If an ad led to the install, the app sends PostHog, with the same installation identifier, the campaign, ad group, keyword and ad numbers, whether the ad was tapped or only seen, whether the install was a download, a redownload or a pre-order, and where in the App Store the ad appeared. If not, it sends only that the install did not come from an ad. This tells us which of our own App Store campaigns bring players who keep playing. Apple's answer contains no information that identifies you or your device, and the app does not show a tracking prompt because this is not tracking. If you turn analytics sharing off before Apple answers, the app stops asking and sends nothing about the install's source, even if you turn sharing back on.
The app also forwards crash, hang and launch-time reports that iOS prepares on your device, as counts and codes only, without stack traces or messages.
The app does not attach your name, email, advertising identifier, precise location or cell-level history to analytics. It asks PostHog not to create person profiles or derive location from the connection IP. Network providers still process the connection information needed to deliver requests.
Turning analytics sharing off stops new capture, cancels a pending Apple Ads lookup and deletes events queued on the device. It does not erase events already delivered. Unconfigured builds send no analytics.
Messages you choose to send
In-app feedback includes your message, optional reply email, app version, iOS version, language and build channel. Cloudflare delivers it to the support team through Discord. Puzzle progress and purchase identifiers are not attached. A temporary IP-based rate limit helps prevent abuse.
If you email support, the message and attachments reach the configured support mailbox; message text and sender details may also be mirrored to Discord. TestFlight feedback you submit and public App Store reviews may be relayed from Apple to the support team through Discord.
This website
This website uses no analytics cookies, browser identifier or tracking storage. Cloudflare hosts the pages and processes network requests to serve and protect the site. The website’s telemetry functions do not transmit events.
Retention and requests
Local progress remains until you remove the app’s data. Cloud data is managed separately in iCloud. Support messages are kept while needed to respond and investigate. Purchase records may remain with Apple and RevenueCat for restoration and their record-keeping obligations.
Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of information you have supplied. Include enough context to locate a support conversation; do not send payment credentials. Anonymous play events may not be identifiable from an email address.
Service providers
The services described above are Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Cloudflare and Discord. Their processing and storage may take place in different countries. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising.
